Hello everyone, today I am blogging about a cigar dinner which I recently attended at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston Rhode Island. This was a “most excellent” event which I thoroughly enjoyed. The night began when I was handed a box of assorted Fonseca cigars. I was then escorted to my seat where a wonderful plate of fried calamari was waited for me along with a glass of fine red wine which was right up my alley. Once I had my fill of calamari, I immediately fired up a Fonseca Vintage Lonsdale and partook in some great conversation with friends which I had not seen in some time.
Approximately a half hour later, as I continued to puff away my house salad arrived which was just a teaser to what was coming next. The salad was awesome and finally the main course arrived which was a large T-Bone steak cooked just right accompanied with a side plate pasta. I have to tell you that the steak was mouth watering and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Once the main course was over, we were all treated to a fine ice cream bar which I chose to skip because I wanted to fire up a second cigar because my friend “Mike” had given a special one which lets just say was not your everyday smoke (Thanks Mike!) So once again some fine cigars were fired up (especially mine) and paired up with great spirits and pure laughter between good friends.
In closing this was a spectacular night! Take my advice, if you get a chance to attend one of these fine events “Do it!” because you won’t regret it.
Until Next Time
