Hello everyone, sadly enough this will be my first and last post of the month besides my annual “Stew’s 10 ten cigars of the year.” This is due to the busy schedule that I now must keep up that leaves me little room for my weekly cigar reviews. So I apologize to you my fellow loyal followers and I hope you will continue to come by because hopefully 2011 will have me back on track. Anyway today I am reviewing the Padilla Habano “Burberry” perfecto, which looks to be an outstanding smoke just by its awesome appearance. So with that said, let’s find out if this crazy looking cigar passes or fails the mighty “Stew” test.
CIGAR MAKE UP:
WRAPPER: Habano ~ three types
BINDER & FILLER: Nicaraguan / Nicaragua
Length/Ring: 5.75 x 54
Shape: Perfecto
Strength: Medium
Price: I paid $19.00 before shipping costs. Yup scored big time!
My Observations: What else if there to say about this creation but outstanding! I will leave it at that.
On my finger touch inspection, I didn’t find any soft spots or imperfections. Over all I have to give it a “A” in the looks department.
Cigar Label: Same as the Habano wrapper, very cool if I say so myself.
Snip: Straight cut.
Pre-Draw: Smooth with an earthy taste.
Flavors: The 1st third of this cigar consisted of small hints of spice, wood, earth, and a strange bitter tart taste.
The 2nd third: continued with the spicy, earth, wood, bitter tart, that was joined with a new rich coffee taste.
The last third: Continued with the flavors listed above and that’s basically how it ended. PS: I don’t own the VW Bug (LOL)!
Draw: Smooth
Burn line: Pretty even for most of the smoke.
Liked it: Yes but this will not be a regular in my war chest
Recommend it: It’s worth the try.!
Hint: None

Stew
Very nice to see you back with a review Stew. Looks like one heck of a beautiful cigar. I might have to try one just for a special occasion. I have had a few good Paddilla cigars but not the majority of them.
Marc,
Try cigarbid.com to see if you can score a five pack at a cheap price. It’s worth the look.
Merry Christmas

This cigar just looks very cool! I’ll have to keep an eye out for a deal. Thanks!
