Epic Habano Lancero from The Privada Cigar Club September Addition

Today I bring you a cigar I received in the September Privada Cigar Club package. This truly is a great cigar club and worth it if your lucky enough to be accepted into it. Check it out you will thank me later. So without further ado here’s my thoughts on it.

Cigar Make up:

Wrapper: Nicraguan

Binder / Filler: Nicaraguan

Price Point:???

1st 3rd consisted of chocolate, heavy pepper and cedar.

2nd 3rd continues with the pepper, chocolate and cedar but was joined by mint and floral.

Last 3rd pretty much finished with these same flavors.

Ash / Burnline

Verdict: Not something I will be seeking out.

Southern Draw Rose of Sharon

Today I am smoking try Rose of Sharonby Southern Draw. It’s rare that a choose Connecticuts to smoke but I was draw to it by it’s wrapper. It was eye catching so I thought what tur hell lets give it a try. So without further ado let’s get into it.

Cigar Make up:

Box Pressed Ecuadorian Sun Grown Connecticut
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan Viso, Nicaraguan Seco, Nicaraguan Ligero, Dominican Piloto Cubano
Size: 6 x 60
Strength: Medium
Price: $ 12.00

The first 3rd of this cigar consisted of spice, pepper, floral, and butter.

The 2nd third consisted of spice, coffee, butter, floral, and coffee bean.

The final third pretty much ended with the same flavors as the 2nd and over all I have to say I was sasitified with my smoking experience. Please note that this cigar is a mild tomedium power cigar which pairs up well with coffee and is perfect for the morning.

Size: 4 X 6 1/2 I believe

Wrapper: Dominican

Binder: Dominican

Filler: Dominican

Price point: At the time around $ 6.00

Today I chose to revisit an old cigar which I obtained from PD Cigars in 2008 or around there. It has been house in my cigar humidor since that time. So I after looking though my humidor I decided to revisit it to see if the smoking experience changed in any way. So without further ado here’s my take on it.

1st third started off mellow with a rich tobacco taste accompanied with a nice hit of pepper.

In the 2nd third the power began with strong hints of pepper, coffee, and PD’s trade mark of peanut butter goodness.

The final 3rd changed rapidly almost mind boggling. I say this because the cigar became stronger for a brief moment due to it’s strong pepper blast which quickly disappeared just liken that. The cigar quickly then transitioned into a minty flowery type experience with little hints of nuts and chocolate. These flavor pretty much continued to the end and I have to say I’m glad I revisited it.

Smoking apparatus:

Conclusion: Not sure if they offer this cigar anymore but the company still exists located in Georegia. They can be found at https://www.google.com/search?q=pd+cigars&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#

Verdict: I would definitely smoke this again and pair it up with coffee as I did.

Cigar Makeup

Toro6 1/2 X 52

Wrapper: Corojo

Binder / Filler: Nicaraguan

Price: $9.50

First third of this cigar consisted of some black pepper, some floral, and hints of coffee.

The 2nd third consisted of spice, leather, wood and pepper which intensified. So far the smoking experience is a full bodied profile and this cigar is not for the average cigar smoking Joe.

The final third pretty much ended up with the flavors in the second third with little to no changes. Over all a pretty good smoke. I probably will not be revisiting this smoke due to other cigars I will be visiting in the future. Is it worth the $9.50? Yes and No. But I’ll leave that to you to make. As always just one mans opinion so try it for yourself.

Please note that this cigar was a limited release and is not available in stores. If your interested head over to https://privadacigarclub.com for other great releases to come.

First and foremost let me say I was extremely lucky to have been able to obtain this limited cigar. Now I know some probably put it right in their humidor where it will stay. But for me life is short and I fell that God gave us these great gifts to have so I smoked it as soon as I could get it unwrapped.

So without further ado here is my taken on it.

Cigar Make Up:

Dominican wrapper

Binder / Filler: Dominican / Honduran

Toro 4X46

Wrapper: Dark in color with no imperfections. Little or no veins observed.

Straight cut and lit with ease with use of a double head lighter.

Ash: White with a razor sharp burn throughout the smoke.

Tasting notes: First third consisted of pepper chocolate and rich tobacco. Second third consisted of pepper chocolate and coffee. Last third continued with the chocolate and coffee with a little hints of pepper from time to time.

Conclusion: The smoking experience was just outstanding. Sad it’s a limited release but I truly thank Brian at Pravada for giving me a chance to enjoy it.
